Dr Stuart McGill has spent many years researching the best ways to strengthening your core without potentially damaging your lower back. Dr McGill and his team have established a group of exercises that will allow you to strengthening your abdominals without putting significantly increased forces through the discs in your lower back. This way you can safely strengthen and actually reduce back pain.

You should not feel and pain or straining in your back while doing these exercises. If you experience any discomfort please stop the exercises and contact your physiotherapist to ensure that you are doing the exercises correctly.
