Since graduating from the University of Otago Katy has worked in both the UK and New Zealand in a variety of hospital and private clinical settings. This grounding has enabled her to gain valuable experience to treat a wide range of conditions.
Katy is passionate about Physiotherapy and continues to study to keep up to date with the latest treatment options for her clients. Katy has strong links with spinal surgeons and previously worked within the Orthopaedic spinal team at Middlemore hospital.
Katy's interests in the diagnosis and treatment of back pain have led her to continue post graduate study. She completed a Master's thesis investigating the prevalence and diagnosis of serious pathologies in the lumbar spine. Katy achieved first class honours for her thesis and has recently published her research in the North American journal - The Spine Journal. She has also presented her research findings at national and international conferences.
