Strength Classes

Strength is a dynamic, circuit-style strength class that targets the whole body in 45 minutes.

Led by a physiotherapist, this class focuses on building strong bodies through functional movement, progressive loading, with a focus on safe and correct technique. Perfect for anyone looking to improve strength, power, bone density, confidence in the gym and overall health.

Why Should you do these classes?

Strength training is one of the most effective ways to maintain muscle, protect joints, and support independence as we age. Research shows that regular resistance training improves strength, balance, and bone density, which can reduce falls and help maintain mobility in older adults. For peri-menopausal and post-menopausal women, strength training is also associated with improved bone health, better body composition, and reductions in common symptoms such as fatigue and metabolic changes.

 

Our 50+ Strength Class is a small-group programme focused on safe, progressive strength and balance training, with options to suit different starting points. Sessions are supervised to ensure good technique and appropriate loading, helping participants build strength that carries over into everyday activities like lifting, climbing stairs, and maintaining steady walking. The goal is simple: move better, stay stronger, and maintain confidence in daily life.
