BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy (2014), WHTA Pelvic Health Trained, Dr. Melissa
Davidson credentialed, SOMM Cervical Spine / Upper Limb, PAANZ Dry Needling.

Special Interests: Pelvic Health, Psychologically Informed Practice, Strengthening and Conditioning.

After completing her physiotherapy degree at the University of Brighton, Julie worked across a broad scope of disciplines in the UK, both in NHS hospitals and in the private sector. Through clinical practice she had exposure to patients with a variety of musculoskeletal injuries and rheumatological conditions. Over time she developed a passion for holistic care, tailoring her approach to each individual to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Julie moved to New Zealand in November 2018 and developed a special interest in pelvic health through her work in private practice here. She upskilled with the completion of post-graduate pelvic health qualifications and her development here has been greatly complimented by her experience part time in the Pelvic Health Physiotherapy team at Greenlane Clinical Centre. Julie enjoys empowering patients with timely education and the ability to optimise their bodies through movement and exercise at any stage in life.

Julie strives to be compassionate, caring and inclusive in her approach - having personally experienced football injuries over the years and two major surgical knee operations, Julie has a unique understanding of the psychological challenges that go alongside physical injuries. She enjoys discussing with clients their own physical goals and collaborating with them to create a treatment plan that best suits their lifestyle. Julie is dedicated to providing a culturally safe and supportive environment for all (LGBTQIA+ affirmative) and is conscientious to ensure individuals feel truly heard. Whilst Julie has focused her development in pelvic health in recent years, she
is extremely competent in treating musculoskeletal injuries and therefore happy to treat your individual physiotherapy concern.

Outside of work Julie enjoys an outdoor and explorative lifestyle. She enjoys run clubs, acting, dance classes and playing the guitar.
