EMMA SHEEHY - Physiotherapist and Womens Health Physiotherapy

BHSc (Physiotherapy)(Honors), Certified Dry Needling Practitioner, Member of Women’s Health Training Associates (WHTA), Certificate in land/pool based rehabilitation by Arthritis Ireland.

Special Interests – Women’s Health including ante & post natal pain and dysfunction, pelvic & sexual pain, incontinence and rehabilitation.

Emma is an Irish Physiotherapist who has lived in New Zealand for 3 years. She graduated from the University of Limerick with an Honours Degree in Physiotherapy.

She has continued to work in public hospitals, private clinics, swimming pools and community rehabilitation facilities in Ireland and New Zealand since.

Emma has trained specifically in the area of Women’s Health. She is passionate in returning her client’s to their baseline level of exercise and function. She believes having a baby should not limit a women’s ability to perform and achieve their goals.

She has recently completed advanced training in Stress Urinary incontinence, Pelvic Organ Prolapse, Pelvic and Sexual Pain (including endometriosis). She is currently training as a Men’s Health Specialist.

Emma developed her love for exercise when she represented Munster and Ireland in International swimming and surflife saving competitions.

While working in Ireland she helped develop and manage Community based land and aquatic arthritis classes.
