HANNAH BURKE - MASSAGE THERAPIST

Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Sports Therapy, Sports Massage

Hannah completed her Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Sports Therapy at Active Health Group in Manchester, following her BPA Hons Degree in Contemporary Dance.

Hannah’s interest in becoming a Sports Therapist was sparked when she received treatment for her own injury sustained during her dance training. Having experienced how beneficial that style of treatment was, she wanted to learn how to help others experiencing physical pains and difficulties.

At the clinic, Hannah has a specialised interest in Myofascial release, which helps to maintain healthy and mobile connective tissue in the body. You can find out more about the role that fascia plays in the body during a treatment!

Outside of the clinic, Hannah works as a Sports Therapist and pitch-side First Aider for local rugby clubs, and provides recovery massage to travelling international sports teams. Hannah has most recently had the opportunity to work with; The Wallabies 2020 NZ series, Great Britain Rugby League 2019 tour to NZ, Australia Men’s Cricket in the 2019 World Cup, England and New Zealand Netball squads in the 2019 World Cup.
